On Sunday 14th November 2010 a group of Arrangers from BABS, LABBS and Sweet Adelines Region 31 gathered in Birmingham for a day of honing their craft.
This is a Barbershop in Harmony initiative and exactly the kind of thing worth collaborating over. Arranging is something of a minority interest in each Organisation but amongst us we have a viable community of people to exchange ideas.
For this occasion we had kind permission from Joe Liles to use a song he had written for the Woodshedders’ Folio for everyone to work on in advance of the day. Liz Garnett led the day, NoteOrious (LABBS 2008 Gold Medal Quartet) did a stirling job of singing all the arrangements so that they could be discussed in open forum and Viv Garner undertook the administration and ensured that everyone was supplied with refreshments! Our thanks, of course, go to them all for giving up their time to make it such an enjoyable day.
